Foreign customers are interested in Russian Orion-E drones. A source in the military-industrial complex told RIA Novosti about the applications received for the supply of drones with guided missiles.
"Since the summer of this year, foreign customers from near and far abroad have sent five applications for the supply of Orion-E attack drones equipped with guided missiles "Whirlwind-M"," the agency source said.
Earlier, Sergey Bogatikov, CEO of Kronstadt JSC, noted the possibilities of export versions of Orion drones. According to him, Russian devices will be able to work with foreign satellites.
In September, Sergey Bogatikov spoke about the upgraded Orion-E drone, which received satellite communications. The new equipment allowed to increase the radius of application of the device.
In July, a source told RIA Novosti about the preparation of the Orion drone for test launches of anti-tank guided missiles "Whirlwind". The interlocutor of the agency noted that in the fall, drones will fire at ground targets simulating armored vehicles. Orion will be able to carry two missiles in containers on underwing pylons. The probability of hitting a moving object with new ammunition exceeds 80 percent.
