The Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant began production of light tactical aircraft (LTS), better known as Checkmate or Su-75. This was stated during the Dubai Airshow by the head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Yuri Slyusar, his words are quoted by RBC.
"At the plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, work will begin on the construction of several Checkmates at the same time," he said.
Rostec presented the LTS at the MAKS-21 International Aviation and Space Salon, which was held in July. According to the general director of Rostec, the cost of the fighter is estimated at $ 25-30 million.
Slyusar noted that the presented aircraft is a model. Its commissioning is scheduled for 2023.
