Moscow. November 13. INTERFAX - The Russian Defense Ministry reported that it continues to monitor US military activity in the Black Sea region.
"The active actions of the US Navy ship grouping and NATO aviation reconnaissance flights have shifted and are being conducted in the northwestern part of the Black Sea," the Russian military department said in a statement on Saturday.
They noted that the US actions are aggressive in nature.
"The destroyer with guided missile weapons "Porter" of the US Navy, the staff ship "Mount Whitney" of the US Navy conducted a number of joint exercises with ships of Turkey, Romania and Ukraine in international waters off the coast of Romania and made a call at the port of Constanta (Romania)," the Russian Defense Ministry noted.
They said that the control over the actions of American ships in the Black Sea is carried out by ships of the Black Sea Fleet: the missile cruiser "Moscow", the frigate "Admiral Essen" and the patrol ship "Pavel Derzhavin".
