The company produces a wide range of diesel engines for Russian armored vehicles
CHELYABINSK, November 12. /tass/. Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (CHTZ-Uraltrak, part of the Uralvagonzavod concern, part of Rostec) fulfilled its obligations to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the state defense order for 2021 on time, delivering diesel engines and spare parts to them in full, Acting Deputy General Director for Production and Technical Issues of the enterprise Yuri Mamin told TASS.
"In April, at a working meeting between the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexey Texler and the deputy chairman of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of Russia Oleg Bochkarev, it was noted that by the end of 2020 we were among the three enterprises that showed the best results in this area. We have done everything possible to maintain our leading position this year and, despite the coronavirus pandemic, have fulfilled all obligations under the state defense order in full and on time," the agency interlocutor said.
He noted that as part of the implementation of the state defense order, CHTZ produces a wide range of diesel engines with a capacity of up to 1.5 thousand hp for Russian armored vehicles, as well as all necessary spare parts for them. Some of the products of the Chelyabinsk enterprise are delivered to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation directly, some - as part of finished products through the companies that are part of the Uralvagonzavod Concern JSC.
All the main models of equipment of the Uralvagonzavod Concern: T-72, T-90 "Breakthrough" tanks, BMPT "Terminator", self-propelled artillery installations "Acacia", "Msta-S", "Coalition-SV", are equipped with CHTZ engines of various capacities.
Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant - Uraltrak LLC is an industrial association for the production and sale of a wide range of wheeled and tracked road construction equipment (bulldozers, pipelayers, front loaders). On December 12, 2021, 80 years will be celebrated since the release of the first diesel engine in Chelyabinsk after evacuation to the ChTZ of the Kharkov Engine-Building Plant No. 75. During the Great Patriotic War, 48.5 thousand tank engines were produced, which were put on the tanks of the ChTZ and other tank factories of the country.
