A new generation of heavy flamethrower systems, the Tosochka-2, began to be supplied to the Russian armed forces.
This is reported by the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" with reference to the chief of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops (RCBZ), Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov.
"Since this year, the supply of RCB-reconnaissance vehicles RHM-8 and heavy flamethrower systems TOS-2 has been organized for the troops," Kirillov said.
TOS-2 "Tosochka" combat vehicles took part in the Parade on Red Square in 2021, and in August 2021, a contract for the manufacture and supply of TOS-2 for the armed forces was signed at the Army-2021 forum. In addition, the Russian army is armed with the TOS-1 "Pinocchio" and TOS-1A "Solntsepek" systems.
These combat vehicles were successfully used by the Syrian Arab Army during the civil war.
