According to a RIA Novosti source, the Russian government has allocated an additional 6.5 billion rubles for the most important space projects. Previously, part of the funding was "cut off".
RIA Novosti reported on the restored financing of space projects with reference to its source. We are talking about 6.5 billion rubles.
They will make it possible to compensate for the "cut" funding for 2021. In addition, it was possible to restore funds for basic research in the budget for the period 2022-2024.
According to the source, thanks to this, Russia will be able to implement lunar missions in the planned time frame. In addition, the funding will allow us to start creating the Spektr-UV space telescope and begin preparing a mission to Venus.
Recall that Roscosmos wanted to launch the first mission to the moon in the history of modern Russia this year, but the timing had to be shifted. In August, it became known that the launch of the Luna-25 station could be held on May 25, and recently, a RIA Novosti source in the space industry named July 23 as the optimal launch day.
As for the launch of the Venera-D station, it is expected no earlier than 2029.
