"On November 10 and 11, MS-21 and AURUS business jet performed non-stop flights from Zhukovsky near Moscow to Al Maktoum, the airport of the Dubai Air Show, respectively... the planes covered about 3,700 km, part of the route passed over the sea. According to the report of the crews, the flights were carried out in normal mode," the message says.
According to the UAC, the corporation's stand will present in the form of models and multimedia all current aircraft building programs of the corporation, including Su-57, Su-35, MiG-35, Yak-130, Il-76MD-90A, Il-114-300, Be-200, Superjet 100, MS-21.
"The leadership and members of the UAC delegation have an intensive business program planned, presentations of new Russian aircraft, meetings with current and potential partners from the UAE, the Persian Gulf countries and other regions of the world," the press service said.
On November 9, Rostec State Corporation reported that a prototype of a new fifth-generation Checkmate single-engine fighter was delivered to Dubai. His international debut is due to take place at the air show.
The fifth-generation Checkmate single-engine fighter developed by Sukhoi (part of the Rostec State Corporation UAC) It was presented to Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 20 at the MAKS-2021 air show. It is planned that the new aircraft will take to the air in 2023, and serial deliveries will begin in 2026. In the future, two-seat and unmanned versions will be created on its basis.
MS-21 is a family of medium-haul passenger aircraft created by Rostec enterprises. Certification and the launch of their serial production have been repeatedly postponed. One of the reasons was the US sanctions against Aerocomposite (part of Rostec), due to which the supply of composites for the MS-21 wing was banned.
According to the latest official data, the launch of production of the basic modification of the MS-21-300 with a capacity of 163-211 passenger seats is expected in 2022. The first recipient of the aircraft will be the Rossiya Airline, part of the Aeroflot Group.
PD-14 is the first turbofan engine created in modern Russia. The United Engine Corporation is working on the engine. It was developed using modern advanced technologies and domestic materials. It is assumed that the operating costs of the PD-14 will be 14-17% lower than those of existing analogues, and the cost of the life cycle is 15-20% lower.
