Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Wednesday, November 10, was 40 kilometers from the Russian border. This is stated in the presentation of the Russian Defense Ministry, which drew the attention of journalist Alexander Kotz in his Telegram channel.
He noticed that the Ukrainian drone spent almost eight hours in the air. The device, according to Kotz, "was not at the demarcation line in the Donbass, not over Nikolayev or Mariupol, but over the Black Sea," near the Russian border. At the same time, there were reconnaissance planes of NATO countries there.
The fact that on November 10, the AFU lifted a drone into the air was also reported by the Telegram channel "Military Observer". It was about the Bayraktar TB2 attack UAV of Turkish production.
On October 26, it became known that Ukraine for the first time used Bayraktar in combat operations in the Donbass. According to Ukrainian journalist Yuri Butusov, a Russian-made howitzer located at the positions of the 93rd mechanized Brigade in the Donetsk region was destroyed with the help of a drone.
Later, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Natalia Nikonorova called the information about the use of a Turkish drone by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the fighting a fake. According to her, the case of the combat use of Bayraktar has not been confirmed.
