TSAMTO, November 11. The frigate of the Pacific Fleet "Marshal Shaposhnikov" entered the waters of Peter the Great Bay to check and test the updated ship systems recently installed by industry representatives.
For three months, a group of specialists representing various shipbuilding and industrial organizations carried out the installation and commissioning of modernized communication systems, air defense and radar detection equipment.
As part of the sea trials of the new systems of the Marshal Shaposhnikov frigate, the crew will check the operability of the installed equipment during practical training at sea.
Also, in providing the Ka-27M helicopter from the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet, a group of aircraft manufacturers as part of the crew will check the operation of air defense systems and the standard system for receiving the helicopter on deck.
In the spring of this year, having undergone a deep modernization, the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov successfully carried out test rocket firing of sea-based cruise missiles "Caliber" at coastal and naval targets from the waters of Peter the Great Bay.
After the completion of sea trials of the updated systems, the crew of the frigate will begin to perform tasks for their intended purpose, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
