As part of the control entry into the sea, the large landing ships of the Baltic Fleet demonstrated their capabilities.
A ship group consisting of the Korolev and Minsk BDK was involved in the exercises in one of the sea ranges, the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the BF told the Military-Industrial Courier.
First, the crews had to work out a set of measures to repel the raid. BDK activated electronic warfare equipment, putting active and passive interference. The air targets were escorted by the ship's air defense means. And then - destroyed with the help of artillery installations.
After that, "Korolev" and "Minsk" successfully provided assistance to a conditionally emergency vessel, in the role of which the rescue tug "SB-123" acted. During the exercises, episodes were also worked out to replenish water, fuel and transfer various cargoes from the board of the Alexander Grebenshchikov multipurpose support vessel.
In addition, the crews of the BDK conducted exercises to combat the survivability of ships on the move, radiation, chemical and biological protection at sea, anti-sabotage defense on an unprotected raid.
