Moscow. November 9th. INTERFAX - The compatibility of the Russian data storage system "Aerodisk Vostok" with the complex of virtualization tools "Brest" has been confirmed, the press service of the Astra Linux Group of companies (GC) reports.
"The software stack is suitable for import substitution and allows you to create virtual servers with an environment and resources for software development, testing and prototyping, as well as for deploying solutions in real working conditions," the message said on Tuesday.
According to the press service, earlier, within the framework of the Ready for Astra Linux technological cooperation program, the Aerodisk A-Core system compatible with the protected Astra Linux Special Edition OS was certified, and now a hardware and software complex has been created.
"The Aerodisk Vostok storage line is responsible for the hardware component of the stack, and the Brest PC is responsible for the software component in terms of resource virtualization. The demand for such offers is high now, as the mandatory elements of import-substituted IT systems include Russian storage and virtualization tools," the press release says.
The message quotes the words of Vyacheslav Volodkovich, CEO of Aerodisk, who noted that closer integration of solutions will create a working environment in which it will become easier to bring customers' IT infrastructures into compliance with import substitution requirements. "It doesn't matter whether an organization's IT system is being created from scratch or is undergoing restructuring - a bundle of our solutions and a virtual environment deployed on their basis can be used as a platform for hosting server resources or virtual workstations in order to fully transfer them to the Russian operating system," Volodkovich said.
Evgeny Vekshin, Product Director of Astra Linux Group, referred to by the press service, notes that reliable and productive storage systems play a crucial role in this regard, allowing you to place workloads for which a high level of performance is critically important for scaling while optimizing the operation of services and applications.
"Combining our capabilities will also allow us to deploy hybrid environments from local server capacities and cloud computing resources - one of the most popular schemes for transforming the IT landscape as part of import substitution programs," Vekshin said.
Aerodisk Vostok is a completely domestic development designed for Elbrus processors and equipped with all the functionality of Aerodisk A-Core software (smart auto-snapshots, replication, thin volumes, application profiles, file and block access, compression and deduplication).
