Experts also predict low reliability indicators of Angara missiles in the first years of operation
Moscow. November 9th. INTERFAX - Reducing the load of RSC Energia's capacities can have an extremely negative impact on the reliability of the Soyuz manned spacecraft and Progress trucks, according to the theses of the report of experts from NPO Technomash (part of Roscosmos).
"The level of technical condition and reliability (the level of manufacturing quality) of manned and transport spacecraft produced by the experimental engineering plant of RSC Energia may significantly decrease due to a decrease in the utilization of production capacities," the theses of the report to the scientific and technical conference of scientists and specialists of RSC Energia say.
Experts also predict a low level of technical condition of the Angara launch vehicles in the first three years of operation.
The main customer of the Angara missile family is the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. At the Vostochny cosmodrome, the construction of second-stage facilities designed to launch family rockets is underway. The first launch of "Angara" from the cosmodrome is scheduled for 2023, in the same year a rocket with a promising manned ship "Eagle" should launch from it.
Angara is a family of the latest Russian modular launch vehicles of various payload capacities, created on the basis of universal rocket modules (UTM) with oxygen-kerosene engines. The family includes launch vehicles from light to heavy classes in the payload range from 3.5 tons ("Angara-1.2.") to 38 tons ("Angara-A5B") in low Earth orbit.
Various variants of the Angara launch vehicles are implemented using a different number of universal rocket modules - UTM-1 (for the first and second stages) and UTM-2 (for the upper stages). The number of universal modules in the first stage determines the payload capacity of the launch vehicle. The URM-1 is equipped with the RD-191 liquid jet engine developed by NPO Energomash, the URM-2 is equipped with the RD-0124A engine (developed by KBHA).
The experimental engineering plant of RSC Energia manufactures, tests, prepares for the launch of manned transport and cargo ships Soyuz MS, Progress MS, the Berth module, automatic spacecraft for various purposes, DM-type upper stages, the creation of devices and assemblies for equipping new modules of the Russian segment of the International Space Station, the manufacture of socio-economic goods.
