A large-scale digital transformation awaits the Russian manufacturing industry. The decree defining the strategic directions of the transformation of this industry was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports. The document provides for the active introduction of six key innovations into production practice: artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, augmented reality technologies, new production and communication technologies. They, in turn, will help to increase labor productivity, reduce the cost of production and accelerate the introduction of goods to the market.
The approved order contains four projects serving the innovative development of the industry. Thus, within the framework of the Smart Manufacturing initiative, it is planned to form an effective support system for Russian software solutions for the manufacturing industry. The project "Digital Engineering" provides for the introduction of virtual product testing technologies, "New employment model" - improvement of recruitment mechanisms, and "Products of the future" - expansion of opportunities for customization of products, that is, the production of products under the order of a specific consumer.
Strategic directions are synchronized with state programs and national projects and are approved for the period up to 2030. In order for the document to remain relevant, it is allowed to make changes to it once a year.
The decree signed by Mikhail Mishustin, which he announced at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on November 8, will stimulate the processes of digitalization in industry, will allow creating additional tools to solve problems inherent in the manufacturing industries.
