TSAMTO, November 8. Belarus expects to receive a squadron of Russian Mi-35P attack helicopters in 2022, Sputnik Belarus reports with reference to the Belarusian TV channel STV.
"Somewhere in the middle of next year we will see a new helicopter," Igor Korol, First Deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, said on the TV channel.
As specified in the framework of the TV broadcast, it will be a squadron of Mi-35P attack helicopters.
I.Korol also noted that recently the republic received one battalion set of BTR-82A, which entered service in the 120th mechanized brigade.
"In the next month, the second battalion set of the same modern equipment will arrive, it will go to the 6th mechanized brigade," he said.
Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that arms supplies to the republic have been agreed with Russia until 2025, in the amount of over a billion dollars, Sputnik Belarus notes.
