Yekaterinburg. November 8. INTERFAX - The training of servicemen of the Central Military District (CVO) is conducted taking into account the experience gained in Syria and Nagorno-Karabakh, including in the fight against drones (UAVs), Commander of the CVO troops Alexander Lapin told reporters.
"Having thoroughly studied and analyzed the combat experience in the armed conflicts in Syria and Nagorno-Karabakh, tactical techniques and methods of the enemy's actions, we teach our servicemen to counteract them," he said after the awarding ceremony of the winners of the district stage of the All-Russian press Festival "Media As Center 2021".
So, according to him, elements of army tactical shooting are widely used, allowing servicemen to better master regular weapons and fire at different targets against any background. In addition, all the polygons of the district are equipped with sites for practicing shooting at high-speed targets simulating "shahid-mobiles". Also, military personnel of the Central Military District are taught to cover objects from enemy attack drones with the help of new means of electronic warfare: "Field-2021", "Inhabitant", "Snare-01", "Snare-02" and "Light-KU", which have shown their effectiveness.
Lapin also noted that the experience gained in Syria allowed officers not only to advance in tactics and operational art, in particular, in the fight against cruise missiles, but also to create a control system for various structures in combat, as well as compile electronic warfare equipment with other elements for reliable protection of facilities and units.
"We have created a successfully tested system to combat unmanned vehicles. To do this, we have combined electronic warfare equipment of various levels (operational, strategic and tactical) and linked them into a single system with four important elements: these are air defense, electronic warfare of various levels, electronic and military intelligence and protection with the cover of certain objects with an aerosol system," he explained.
The commander of the Central Military District also stressed that the military of the Central Military District actively shares their experience in Syria and Karabakh with colleagues from the CSTO and SCO countries.
