The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told what new equipment and weapons the Ground Forces have already received and will receive this year. According to the agency, we are talking about more than 2.5 thousand samples of modern arsenal.
For example, armored vehicles T-72B3M, T-80BVM, infantry fighting vehicles BMP-3 and armored personnel carriers BTR-82A are being purchased for tank and motorized rifle units. "This year, for the first time, the supply of upgraded armored vehicles has begun: T-90M tanks and upgraded BMP-2 combat vehicles with the Berezhok combat compartment," the Defense Ministry noted.
Formations and units of Missile troops and artillery receive modern multiple rocket launchers of medium caliber "Tornado-G". And also - upgraded self-propelled howitzers "Msta-S" and self-propelled anti-tank missile systems "Chrysanthemum-S". Reconnaissance artillery units are equipped with radar complexes for reconnaissance of firing positions "Zoo-1M", radar stations "Aistenok", automated sound-thermal and sonometric complexes of artillery reconnaissance.
The Ground Forces are also receiving serial S-300V4 anti-aircraft missile systems, Buk-M3, Tor-M2 air defense systems and its modification in the Arctic version of Tor-M2DT. Deliveries of portable air defense missile systems "Verba", automation complexes "Polyana-D4M1" and "Barnaul-T", radar stations "Niobium-SV" and other weapons are also being carried out.
It is reported that the supply of the second-generation Sagittarius-M intelligence, control and communication complexes is planned for the reconnaissance units of the Ground Forces this year. This technique is interfaced with a line of technical means of reconnaissance and allows you to solve control tasks, determine coordinates and transfer them to means of fire destruction.
Also, the Ground Forces are equipped with modern means of communication and automation of a unified tactical management system. Four compounds have already been equipped with these kits. Two more sets will be delivered to the formations of the Ground Forces by the end of this year.
