Moscow. November 6th. INTERFAX - A control check with live firing of tanks of the Vistula Motorized Rifle Division has ended in the Voronezh Region, the Western Military District (ZVO) reported on Saturday.
"The crews of the T-72B3 tanks of the Vistula Motorized Rifle Division of the Western Military District have completed the delivery of control firing exercises as part of the control check for the 2021 academic year," the press service of the district reported.
It was officially reported that the Vistula Division is stationed in the Belgorod region.
The military said that the tankers carried out firing with the use of the entire complex of weapons of combat vehicles.
"More difficult conditions for firing have become a feature of firing, in particular, the range of firing from a 125-mm tank gun has been increased by 200 m - up to 2200 m, and the time for displaying targets that imitated the enemy's tactical actions to hide in the folds of the terrain has been reduced," the ZVO said.
"In total, more than a thousand tank soldiers of the Guards Red Banner Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District passed the final inspection," the press service of the district reported.
It was officially reported that the Vistula Division is part of the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District. The army headquarters is located in Voronezh. The army's troops are stationed in the Voronezh, Kursk, Belgorod, Smolensk and Bryansk regions.
In early November, the American newspaper Politico published satellite photos, which, in its opinion, confirm that Russia is allegedly concentrating troops and military equipment on the border with Ukraine.
