For the last 45 years, the peculiarity of domestic tanks is that they can use guided missile weapons. Initially, these were complexes with radio command guidance.
Then, in the mid-80s, combat vehicles were adopted by the ground forces, the ammunition of which included more advanced ammunition, already guided by a laser beam.
Currently, the well-known Russian enterprise JSC "Plant named after V.A. Degtyarev" produces several types of such shots. The most famous of them is the 3UBK20 with the Invar 9M119M missile, which has semi-automatic, noise-proof guidance with a maximum flight range of up to 5000 meters. This distance is covered in 17.6 seconds.
Its main feature is the presence of a tandem cumulative warhead. It consists of a leading charge that initiates dynamic protection installed on the enemy's armored vehicles, and a main charge, the purpose of which is to penetrate the main armor.
Such missiles are launched by 125 mm smoothbore guns, which are equipped with modifications of the T-72, T-80 and T-90 tanks. The fire can be carried out from a place and while driving.
Other guided munitions are 3UBK20F and 3UBK20F1 high explosive rounds. Their characteristics, according to many military experts, are unique. At least, nowhere in the world has something like this been mass-produced yet.
These shells are designed to destroy enemy manpower located openly or in protective structures, as well as various armored vehicles, including tanks.
Ammunition can be used in all weather conditions, including in hot desert climates and at altitudes up to 3000 meters above sea level.
