The upcoming equipping of the Russian Navy with Zircon missiles will be a powerful deterrent to any potential enemy, military political analyst Alexander Perendzhiev expressed this opinion on Sputnik radio.
The tests confirmed the unique characteristics of the Peresvet laser installation, as well as the Dagger and Avangard complexes, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and defense industry enterprises.
"I will add that the tests of the sea-based hypersonic cruise missile Zircon are being completed. During testing, it accurately, in full accordance with the task, hit both land and sea targets from underwater and from surface ships," the president noted.
He said that starting next year, these missiles will begin to be supplied to the Navy.
On the air of Sputnik radio, military political scientist, member of the expert council of the organization "Officers of Russia", associate professor of the Department of Political Science and Sociology of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Alexander Perendzhiev noted that "Zircons" are able to provide reliable protection of Russian borders.
