The launch of the NASA and SpaceX Crew 3 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) was postponed due to the health condition of one of the crew members. This is stated in a NASA statement, RIA Novosti reports.
As noted in the agency, the problem is not serious and is not related to the coronavirus. At the same time, experts will continue to monitor the health of the crew. Instead of November 3, the start of the mission is scheduled for the evening of November 6 (November 7, Moscow time).
Astronauts Tom Marshburn, Raja Chari, Kayla Barron and Matthias Maurer are participating in the Crew 3 mission. She will replace the crew of Crew 2, which will then return to Earth.
Earlier, Joel Montalbano, Head of the program of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration on the ISS, said that the first Russian cosmonaut could go to the ISS aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft in the fall of 2022. According to him, the American agency is preparing an agreement with the Russian state corporation on cross-flights.
