TSAMTO, November 1. Engineers of the 49th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District in the Kuban received a set of heavy mechanized bridges TMM-3M2 at the KamAZ automobile base.
The military personnel of the Southern Military District will have additional training to work on new equipment and classes on its practical application in the aftermath of emergency situations: clearing the mudflow channel, building bridge crossings in floodplains during spring flooding.
Heavy mechanized bridges TMM-3M2 are designed for the device of bridge crossings over obstacles up to 40 m wide and up to 3.5 m deep in order to pass through them wheeled and tracked vehicles weighing up to 60 tons. It takes up to 45 minutes to organize one crossing using a mechanized bridge. A heavy mechanized bridge is assembled and disassembled by a crew of eight people, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
