The search and rescue detachment of the Pacific Fleet conducted exercises in Peter the Great Bay in Primorye. The team of the rescue deep-sea vehicle worked out actions to assist the crew of an emergency submarine lying on the ground, the head of the information support department of the VVO press service for the Pacific Fleet, Captain 3rd rank Ilya Kolesnikov, told RG.
At a special marine test site at a depth of about 60 meters, a mock-up of the coaming platform of a conditional submarine was fixed. The crew of the rescue vessel "Georgy Kozmin" examined it with the help of an uninhabited deep-sea underwater vehicle "Panther Plus", and then the AS-40 deep-sea vehicle was launched from the rescue vessel. After diving, the crew calculated the coordinates of the underwater object, after which they got close to the stand layout of the submarine's coaming platform and docked with it.
The exercise was held according to the combat training plan of the Pacific Fleet.
