At the moment, the state corporation clarified, the company "Information Satellite Systems named after Academician M. F. Reshetnev" (ISS, part of Roscosmos) has begun work on the creation of an experimental spacecraft "Skif-D".
"ISS specialists are developing design documentation for the spacecraft and its components. At the same time, the cooperation enterprises are developing and manufacturing components," the state corporation noted.
It is assumed that Skif-D will join the satellite grouping of the same name to work out new technical solutions for providing broadband Internet access and protecting the orbital frequency resource of Russia.
