Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) manufactured by the Russian company Zala Aero (one of the largest Russian UAV developers, part of the Kalashnikov Concern) have begun to perform tasks in Latin America. This was announced to TASS during the international arms exhibition SITDEF 2021 by a representative of the Latin American company UAV Latam, which is the operator of the Zala UAV.
"Currently, UAV Latam has four Zala Aero complexes. They are already being used, in particular, in the provision of services to the fuel and energy complex and the agricultural industry," the representative of the company said. "We independently use them when performing tasks, provide services to customers and supply drones," he said.
Currently, the company's portfolio includes four types of drones manufactured by Zala Aero, at least three of them are already in operation, the agency interlocutor added. "Currently, UAV Latam operates the Zala 421-16E, Zala 421-16EV and Zala 421-08M UAVs," the company representative said.
