The Kasta-2E2 radar station can detect drones and fifth-generation F-35 aircraft. Methods of repelling attacks of inconspicuous targets are reported in the material of the magazine "Army Standard".
In August, during exercises in the Leningrad region, the military successfully detected the approach of drones of a conditional enemy using the "Casta-2E2" radar. The coordinates of the target were transferred to the calculations of the Tor-M anti-aircraft missile systems, which repelled the attack.
The publication notes that the "Casta-2E2" can detect fifth-generation fighters that use technologies to reduce radar visibility. Also, the radar station can detect drones in conditions of interference and difficult terrain.
The three-coordinate radar can detect up to 50 aerial targets at a range of up to 150 kilometers. The station's standard antenna allows detecting inconspicuous targets flying at an altitude of 60 meters, at a range of up to 30 kilometers.
Earlier it became known that the US National Security Agency (NSA) was concerned about the security of weapons systems from cybercriminals. Representatives of the department suggested that US adversaries could disable American ships, planes and satellites with the help of computer vulnerabilities.
