The project of using augmented reaction in the assembly of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters received the main award of the United Aircraft Corporation competition.
- Our technology involves the use of AR devices to superimpose a digital model of the unit on a real object. This helps to visualize the position of parts during the assembly of the aircraft, which allows you to perform technological operations with high accuracy in less time, - the press service of the UAC quotes the words of the leading programmer of the Gagarin KnAAZ Valery Timokhin.
Augmented reality will also be used when painting finished aircraft - AR devices will help to visualize the contours before coating, and then control the quality of painting. As part of the pilot project, augmented reality glasses are used in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and for inspection of aggregates.
- Several of our key aircraft programs are at the launch stage of the series at once. The main production task for the near future is a rapid increase in output at times. To do this, it is important to ensure an evenly high level of production culture at all sites of the corporation. Such competitions allow us to identify the most advanced practices and solutions, to replicate them for the entire UAC circuit," said Dmitry Bloshchinsky, Deputy head of the Corporation for Production and Technical Development.
