The Ukrainian multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) will hit more than 100 km. Yesterday, on October 27, the press service of the Ukroboronprom Group on its official YouTube channel published a video of a test of the MLRS "Olkha-M" ("Vilkha-M").
"The work of the complex and the results of the shooting are evaluated by specialists of the state admissions committee in many ways. Based on the collected data, they will work out proposals for the adoption of this sample for service in the troops," the press service of Ukroboronprom reported.
Tests of the MLRS "Alder-M"
Rocket launches are taking place in the Odessa region. The video shows the preparation for the launch and the defeat of a conditional target. At the same time, the missile strikes just a few meters from the center of the target. The description of the video indicates that the Alder-M missiles have an increased target range. So, the new version of the MLRS will be able to hit enemy targets at a distance of over 100 km. At the same time, a closed cycle of production of these missiles has been established in Ukraine.
"Alder" was created on the basis of the MLRS "Smerch". The key difference from the Soviet development was that the new missiles are correctable and can hit targets with much greater accuracy: the deviation from the aiming point at a distance of 70 km for the basic version of "Alder" and 120 km for the long-range version of "Alder-M" is no more than 30 m. According to the description of the new missile system, it will be able to replace the Smerch MLRS in the Ukrainian army, as well as the Tochka-U tactical missile system, while demonstrating greater accuracy.
