Moscow. October 28. INTERFAX - The frigate Admiral Grigorovich of the Black Sea Fleet passes the Bosphorus and Dardanelles Straits in the direction of the Mediterranean Sea to join the Russian Navy, the press service of the Black Sea Fleet reports.
"The crew of the frigate is making a planned transition from the Black Sea to the far sea zone," the press service said in a statement.
The navy noted that the Admiral Grigorovich frigate in the Mediterranean Sea will become part of the Navy's permanent connection forces and will replace the Admiral Essen frigate, which has been performing special tasks since August 2021.
On October 26, the Black Sea Fleet reported that the crew of the Admiral Grigorovich frigate conducted joint missile firings with combat crews of the Bal and Utes mine-based coastal anti-ship missile systems (BPRCS), which are located in the mountains of Crimea.
