MOSCOW, Oct 27 - RIA Novosti. Nuclear power companies in Central Russia have become targets of cyber attacks, said the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev.
According to him, over the past three years, more than 11.5 thousand dangerous computer attacks have been registered in the Central Federal District, this year their growth exceeded 15%.
"Among the objects of encroachment are information resources of government and local self-government bodies, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, energy, including nuclear, as well as educational and scientific institutions," Patrushev said, speaking by video link at a security meeting in the Central Federal District on Wednesday.
Kalinin, Smolensk and Kursk nuclear power plants are located in Central Russia.
