Approval of its final appearance is scheduled for 2022-2023
DUBAI, October 27. /tass/. An experiment to put an anthropomorphic robot "Teledroid" into orbit is planned to be carried out in 2024. This was reported to TASS by a representative of the Cosmonaut Training Center on the sidelines of the International Astronautical Congress in Dubai.
"An experiment with putting an anthropomorphic robot into orbit is planned in the near future. <...> Approximately the experiment will be in 2024," he said.
Earlier, the press service of the NGO "Android Technology" TASS reported that the approval of the final appearance of the robot "Teledroid" for outer space is scheduled for 2022-2023.
At the end of March 2021, the NGO Android Technology signed a contract with the Rocket and Space Corporation Energia to create a new generation robotic complex designed for spacewalking. The first prototype of its scientific equipment will appear in February 2022. The shape of the robot astronaut, its components, and the protocols of docking with the ISS are being worked out.
