The European Space Agency (ESA) is discussing with the countries that go to it the possibility of participating in the Russian-Chinese project of the International Scientific Lunar Station. This was reported to TASS by the head of the ESA permanent mission in Russia, Rene Pichel.
"At the moment, ESA is continuing internal discussions with the participating countries on the possibility of participating in the project of an International Scientific Lunar Station," Pishel said.
In March of this year, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin and the head of the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA) Zhang Kejian signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf of the governments on cooperation in the creation of an International scientific Lunar Station.
At the end of May, Roscosmos Deputy Director General for International Cooperation Sergey Savelyev told TASS that the state corporation and the Chinese National Space Administration had invited partners to the project of the International Scientific Lunar Station.
