"Calculations of the coastal anti-ship missile systems "Bal" together with the calculation of the coastal mine-based anti-ship complex "Utes" of the Black Sea Fleet carried out rocket firing during a joint exercise with a detachment of fleet ships according to the plan of the final inspection for the summer training period," the report says.
It is specified that a Progress target rocket was launched from the installations of the Utes complex. After that, the combat crew of the air defense of the frigate "Admiral Grigorovich" discovered and escorted an air target. Using the anti-aircraft missile system "Calm", the Black Sea successfully hit an air target at a distance of more than 40 kilometers.
It is added that also within the framework of the exercises, the calculations of the BPRK "Bal" worked out actions to destroy the ship group of a conditional enemy at the far and near boundaries of defeat, followed by the implementation of standards for changing starting positions and replenishing the ammunition of launchers.
According to the press service, for security reasons, the marine test site in the Black Sea, in which rocket firing was carried out, was closed to navigation. For this purpose, about 20 warships and auxiliary vessels of the Black Sea Fleet were involved.
