The Iskander-E complex has shown unprecedented accuracy in shooting at a foreign customer. This was announced by the industrial director of the arms complex of the Rostec State Corporation Bekhan Ozdoev on Saturday, October 23.
Thus, an operational-tactical missile system hit a missile from a distance of 180 km exactly in the crosshair of a ground target measuring 30x30 m.
"The shooting took place on the territory of a foreign customer. The ballistic missile launched by the complex overcame 180 km and hit exactly in the crosshair of the target - this was confirmed by cameras installed around the target," Ozdoev's words were quoted in RIA Novosti.
Alexander Romanyuk, deputy Head of the export-import department of the KBM (part of the "High-Precision Complexes" of Rostec Corporation), in turn, noted that after the most accurate defeat of the target complex, the applause did not subside for a long time.
The effectiveness of the Iskander-E missile system has already been proven during the fighting in Syria. The Russian Ministry of Defense notes that Iskanders are the best in the world in their class.
On October 14, Jeffrey Eberhardt, the special Representative of the President of the United States for nuclear nonproliferation, demanded that Russia remove the missiles allegedly stationed there from Europe, calling it a violation of the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (INF). So Eberhardt answered the question about how the administration of US President Joe Biden treats the initiative of Russian leader Vladimir Putin to impose moratoriums on the deployment of medium-range and shorter-range missiles in Europe.
The Russian Federation replied that the special representative's demand was not justified by anything — both the States and Russia withdrew from the treaty, it does not exist. In addition, these missiles are not related to the INF Treaty — they have an operational range, their range is less than 500 km.
