Tow trucks for Iskander complexes will be delivered to the tank army of the Western Military District by the end of 2021. This is reported by the press service of the ZVO.
We are talking about repair and evacuation vehicles REM-KS, created on the chassis of four-axle all-terrain vehicles of the Bryansk Automobile Plant.
This technique has been repeatedly demonstrated at the international military-technical forums "Army", traditionally attracting the attention of specialists and guests of a large-scale weapons exhibition with its unique capabilities.
There are two variants of such tractors: some have a regular cab, while others are equipped with additional protection.
With the help of REM-CS weighing about 29,000 kg, it is possible to carry out maintenance, field repair of various special-purpose wheeled chassis, such as Iskander self-propelled launchers, as well as conventional army vehicles and tracked vehicles.
The evacuation of faulty vehicles is carried out by several methods, including transportation by semi-loading and towing.
The crew of three received a whole arsenal of various equipment, including a crane manipulator, electric welding, tools for soldering, painting and cutting. All this makes it possible to service and repair equipment in the field in the shortest possible time, thereby quickly returning it to service.
