TSAMTO, October 21. Repair and evacuation vehicles REM-KS will enter service in the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District by the end of this year.
REM-KS is designed for maintenance and routine repairs in the field and evacuation of special wheeled chassis, as well as army vehicles Ural, KamAZ, ZIL, GAZ, UAZ. The machine weighing about 29 tons is capable of evacuating faulty vehicles by pulling out, transporting by semi-loading and towing.
The set of the machine includes a crane manipulator, lifting equipment, electric welding, tools for soldering, paint, cutting, electrification, wrench repair, with which maintenance and urgent repairs are carried out in the field. Also in the arsenal there is a powerful traction winch for the evacuation of stuck vehicles on a tracked and wheeled base, including the Iskander self-propelled launcher, the press service of the Western Military District reports.
