MOSCOW, Oct 20 - RIA Novosti. The government in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic managed to ensure the smooth operation of defense industry organizations and prevent the disruption of the state defense order, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said during the "government hour" in the Federation Council.
"According to Borisov, in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was possible to ensure the smooth operation of defense industry organizations under the state defense order and prevent disruption of its execution. In close cooperation with Rospotrebnadzor, the Ministry of Health of Russia and local authorities, the necessary measures of sanitary and epidemiological protection of people working in the defense industry and performing tasks of the state defense order were developed and provided," the Deputy Prime Minister's office said in a statement received by RIA Novosti.
In his speech, which was held behind closed doors, Borisov also noted the increase in the quality of products supplied by enterprises to the military. "Over the past three years, the number of complaints from the troops has significantly decreased," the report says.
