In Russia, for the first time, a group of shock robotic complexes "Marker" was tested. During the tests at the test site, robots independently, without human participation, made decisions on entering firing positions.
Domestic specialists will continue work on the modernization and improvement of the Marker robotic platform.
As a source in the military-industrial complex told RIA Novosti, a demonstration sample of a grouping of ground-based robotic complexes was tested.
"Five Marker robotic platforms were involved in the group - three on a wheeled chassis and two on a tracked one," the source explained. Robots, without human participation, made decisions on the distribution of targets in the group, reaching optimal firing positions, independently reacted to operational changes in the combat situation, exchanged target designations. Also, a group of combat drones independently conducted reconnaissance due to the equipment and vision equipment installed on their board.
Now the Marker robotics platform is equipped with a number of solutions that allow testing ground-based robotics technologies. These are technical vision, communication, navigation, autonomous movement and application, group management. In the future, the developers plan to test them together with drones.
