Moscow. October 19. INTERFAX - Su-30SM and Su-24M aircraft have practiced missile strikes and bombing exercises in the Kaliningrad region, the press service of the Baltic Fleet reported on Tuesday.
"The crews of front-line Su-24M bombers and multi-purpose Su-30SM fighters of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation have practiced carrying out bombing attacks on ground targets at a training ground in the eastern part of the Kaliningrad region," the press service said.
"The pilots carried out targeted bombing and missile strikes on full-size targets simulating command posts, engineering fortifications, manpower and equipment of a simulated enemy with practical P-50T aviation bombs and 80-millimeter unguided aviation missiles," the headquarters of the Baltic Fleet said.
They noted that about 10 crews of Su-30SM fighters and Su-24M bombers were involved in the flights.
"The performance of combat exercises by naval aviation pilots was carried out taking into account the experience of fighting illegal armed formations in the Syrian Arab Republic," the press service added.
Earlier, the fleet headquarters reported that Su-30SM and Su-24M air refueling exercises are taking place in the Baltic - up to 15 Baltic Fleet naval aviation aircraft are involved in them.
"During the combat training activities, the crews of Su-30SM multi-purpose fighters and Su-24M front-line bombers are practicing refueling in the air from the Il-78 tanker aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which arrived in the Kaliningrad region from the central region of Russia," the press service said.
