MOSCOW, October 17. /tass/. Joint Russian-Egyptian tactical exercises "Defenders of Friendship - 2021" will be held from October 17 to 29 in Egypt. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"The joint Russian-Egyptian tactical exercises "Defenders of Friendship - 2021" will be held in the Arab Republic of Egypt with the practical landing of personnel and airborne equipment of the two countries," the message says.
It is noted that during the active phase, the scouts as part of the advanced detachment will make a landing on controlled parachute systems of the "wing" type in the area of the upcoming actions of the troops to organize the landing of the main forces of the joint Russian-Egyptian air assault.
Then the planes of the military transport aviation of the Russian Air Force Il-76MD and the Egyptian Air Force C-130 Hercules will deliver personnel and equipment to the designated area by parachute, under the cover of which the paratroopers block the village captured by the militants.
At the final stage of the exercises, the destruction of disparate gangs will be worked out. Then, in the course of conducting raid operations, the military will block the supply channels to the border zone of ammunition and supplies for militants.
