Russian fifth-generation aircraft do not give rest to the West, so the Su-57 and the Checkmate regularly become the target of information stuffing. This was reported to Izvestia on Thursday, October 14, at Rostec.
Thus, the company commented on the material of American journalists published in the publication National Interest. According to the authors of the article, the Russian fifth-generation stealth fighter Su-57 is unlikely to enter service until 2027. The journalists pointed out that the reasons why the Su-57 will not enter service will be all kinds of delays, cost overruns and problems related to research and development.
"Unreliable facts are published that have no connection with reality. And now: the "reasons" for which the Russian army allegedly will never receive the Su-57 are analyzed. And this despite the fact that the aircraft is already mass-produced and delivered! More than 70 aircraft will be delivered by 2027, including several this year," Rostec said.
Earlier, on August 9, it was reported that production of the Su-57 is scheduled to begin in 2025 as part of the Megapolis ROC. In addition, the fifth-generation Su-57 will be made single-seat, the source added.
On July 28, Nikita Dorofeev, the head of the cabin department of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, said that in the future the pilot of the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter will be able to control the aircraft with eye movements or voice. Despite the complexity of such a system, since a person's pupil is constantly moving unconsciously, its prototype already exists, Dorofeev pointed out. Also, at present, the task is to teach the system to understand not memorized phrases, but the context, so that in extreme conditions "the pilot did not need to remember exactly what phrase he should pronounce."
The Su-57 is a Russian multifunctional advanced fighter of the fifth generation. It was created using stealth technologies and is capable of fighting with any enemy fighters, as well as destroying enemy ground and surface targets.
