The Su-57 is designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets
MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. More than 70 Su-57 aircraft will be delivered to the Russian army by 2027, including several in 2021, Rostec said, commenting on an article by National Interest, which claims that the fifth-generation Russian Su-57 fighter is unlikely to enter service until 2027.
"Russian fifth-generation aircraft do not give rest to the West. Su-57 and "Checkmate" regularly become the target of information stuffing. Unreliable facts that have no connection with reality are published. The aircraft is already mass-produced and delivered! More than 70 aircraft will be delivered by 2027, including several this year," Rostec said.
The Su-57 is designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets. The aircraft has a supersonic cruising speed, internal fuselage armament, radio-absorbing coating (stealth technology), as well as the latest on-board equipment. By the end of 2024, the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive 22 Su-57s, and by 2028 their number will be increased to 76 units. The first fighter entered the army in 2020.
