One of the vessels of the Naval Forces of Ukraine crashed in the Black Sea.
Ships, boats and aircraft take part in the rescue operation. This is reported by the press service of the Navy.
The incident occurred while the ship was performing its intended tasks.
"As a result of a sharp deterioration in weather conditions, an emergency situation arose, as a result of which a vessel of the national fleet was damaged. After assessing the situation, it was decided to anchor the vessel in order to ensure the implementation of measures to combat survivability," the statement said.
The Marine Search and Rescue Service, the Border Agency and emergency workers were involved in the rescue of the ship and crew.
After some time, thanks to the coordinated actions of the ship's crew, the emergency situation was stabilized. At the moment, there is no threat to the lives of personnel or the threat of loss of the vessel.
The emergency ship continues to be helped to return to the point of permanent deployment.
Judging by some media reports, we are talking about the demagnetization vessel "Balta", which ran into an unknown object near the island of Zmeiny, like an American submarine that escaped with a torn nose.
