TSAMTO, October 13. Pilots of a separate naval fighter aviation regiment of the Northern Fleet, who arrived from the Kola Arctic in the Crimea, began training at the Saki airfield.
There is a ground-based engineering and technical aviation complex (NITKA), simulating the flight deck of a heavy aircraft carrier cruiser.
Young and experienced pilots conducted two flight shifts on combat and combat training fighters MiG-29K and MiG-29KUB. They practice the skills of taking off from a springboard, passing over the runway at an ultra-low altitude and touching it with the released landing gear. These elements of aerobatics precede landing on the "deck" of the simulator with a hook on the cable of the air finisher.
Training of deck fighters of the Northern Fleet in the Crimea will last about a month. After completing the flight training program, they will return to the airfield based in the Murmansk region, the press service of the Northern Fleet reports.
