The Japanese Air Force is facing a new scandal.
According to Japanese TV channels, when trying to intercept a foreign military aircraft, the Mitsubishi F-2 fighter began to fall apart right in the air – he lost the cockpit light.
As a result, the plane almost crashed.
It is known that the attempt of a Japanese combat aircraft to catch up with a Russian military aircraft turned out to have very serious consequences, since during the flight the glass canopy of the cockpit literally tore off the fighter. This forced the pilot to urgently return to the airbase. At the moment, experts are trying not only to find out the circumstances of the incident, but are also busy searching for the part itself weighing 90 kilograms and about one and a half meters long.
The Japanese Ministry of Defense refuses to comment on the incident in any way. The Japanese mass media have already led to a real explosion of negativity among Japanese citizens:
- "Why do we need air forces if Chinese planes freely enter our airspace, and the pursuit of the Russians leads to the fact that the fighter almost crashes?"
"It's high time to write off this outdated junk, otherwise the Russians will be able to defeat Japan even without a single shot."
It should be noted, writes Avia.It is noted that the data that the pursuit was conducted specifically for the Russian military aircraft is presented by the Japanese media, and the official report of the Japanese Defense Ministry reports on the interception of a foreign aircraft.
