Moscow. October 11. INTERFAX-AVN - The missile cruiser "Moscow", the frigate "Admiral Grigorovich", the patrol ship "Ladny" and the minesweeper "Kovrovets" conducted exercises in the Black Sea, the press service of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) reported on Monday.
"The crews of the cruiser, frigate and patrol ship have worked out the algorithm of conducting a naval battle by a detachment of ships with a surface ship of a conditional enemy," the report says.
It is reported that during the exercises "Admiral Grigorovich" and "Ladny" as part of the ship's strike group attacked "Moscow" by the conditional use of the Kalibr missile system and torpedo weapons, and the cruiser, in turn, worked out the procedure for repelling a conditional missile and torpedo attack of the enemy.
"Then the crews of all ships performed artillery firing on a naval target, a simulator of a ship group of a conditional enemy (a towed naval target - a large shipboard target - acted as an enemy)," the Black Sea Fleet reported.
In addition, mine protection of the detachment of ships was worked out when leaving the base point.
kOvrovets carried out a control and reconnaissance search and sampling of sea mines in the designated sea area using deep-water contact and non-contact trawls, ensuring safe passage through the minefields to a detachment of ships," the fleet said.
According to the Black Sea Fleet, the exercise was conducted in accordance with the unified plan for the final inspection of the forces of the Southern Military District for the summer training period, according to the previously approved training plan for 2021.
It is noted that at present, the crews of the ships have completed the exercise, arrived at the base point, carried out scheduled maintenance, replenishment of material reserves and continued to perform tasks for their intended purpose.
