According to a TASS source, one missile will hit the Kura test site in Kamchatka
MOSCOW, October 9. /TASS/. The strategic nuclear submarine missile cruiser "Prince Oleg" of project 955A (code "Borey-A") will launch an intercontinental ballistic missile "BULAVA" on state tests in November 2021. This was reported to TASS by a source in the military-industrial complex.
"Prince Oleg, as part of state tests, will fire a MACE in November from an underwater position with one missile at the Kura test site in Kamchatka," he said.
TASS has no official information on this matter.
On June 23, Mikhail Budnichenko, General Director of the sEvmash Shipbuilding Plant (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation), told TASS that the submarine would complete state tests in the second half of 2021 and be handed over to the fleet at the end of the year. Answering the question whether the launch of the BULAVA ICBM will be carried out during state tests, he said that Prince Oleg will fulfill everything that is planned by the program."
Earlier, TASS reported that "Prince Oleg" first went to sea for testing on May 30, and in mid-June he returned to base.
Currently, the Russian Navy has four 955/955A missile carriers in combat. In addition to the Prince Oleg, three more submarines of Project 955A are at SEVMASH in different stages of construction. Each of the submarines of projects 955/955A carries 16 BULAVA ICBMs.
