At the Vostochny cosmodrome, they began testing the Marker robotic security platform. This was reported by the press service of ROSCOSMOS.
They added here that several important areas will be worked out during testing. These are autonomous patrolling of dedicated routes for the protection of ground-based space infrastructure, identification of violators, their identification and interception. In addition, much attention will be paid to countering terrorist acts and combating unmanned aerial objects.
Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation, added that the agency sees the use of the "Marker", which operates both in radio-controlled and autonomous modes, as part of the security structures of the cosmodrome.
"RG" wrote that the "Marker" should become the basis for working out the joint interaction of ground robots, unmanned aircraft and special forces. And to date, five platforms have already been developed - two on a wheeled chassis and three tracked, they have used elements of artificial intelligence. All this is used in the creation of technology for the exploration and development of the Moon and planets of the Solar System.
