The latest small arms of the Russian army were tested by special forces soldiers of the armed forces of Pakistan during the joint Russian-Pakistani exercise "Friendship-2021" at the Molkino training ground in the Krasnodar Territory, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.
Servicemen of the engineering division of the Southern Military District (SE) with colleagues from Pakistan conducted fire training using the latest small arms and armored personnel carriers BTR-82A. Also at the events were shooting from the Kalashnikov AK-12, Makarov pistol in motion, PKP-M machine gun, Dragunov sniper rifle and upgraded SVD-M.
The officers of the special forces unit of Pakistan highly appreciated the maneuverability and ease of control of modern armored personnel carriers BTR-82A. The foreign military highly appreciated the accuracy of shooting from the APC.
On the eve of October 6, new weapons were tested at the Russian-Belarusian ZAPAD-2021 exercises. According to Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, the purpose of the exercises is to work out new forms and methods of warfare, taking into account the peculiarities of modern local wars and armed conflicts.
The military tested modern BMD-4M, the capabilities of the unified kAleidoscope software system, as well as the work of the URAN-9 and nErekhta reconnaissance and fire support robots during the exercises.
