By launching Kalibr-NK missiles, the crews of the Caspian Flotilla corvettes celebrated the first combat use of high-precision weapons against terrorist targets in Syria. This time the targets turned out to be targets imitating enemy objects on the island of Chechnya.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, rocket firing was carried out from the corvette "Grad Sviyazhsk". The small rocket ships "uGlich" and "Veliky Ustyug" have worked out electronic launches of "Calibres" this time. The firing was monitored from the flotilla's flagship, the Dagestan missile ship.
The objective control footage shows that the launches of high-precision weapons are made during the movement of the ship. The targets, according to the military department, were successfully hit.
To ensure safety, the marine landfill, with a total area of over 1,500 nautical miles, was closed to civilian shipping.
"The analysis and evaluation of the combat training tasks performed at sea will be carried out by the command of the Caspian Flotilla according to the technical means of monitoring and control after the ships return to their bases," the press service of the Southern Military District specified.

The targets were factories for the production of explosive devices, control points, ammunition and fuel depots, as well as terrorist training bases in the Syrian provinces of Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo. All the objects were destroyed. At the same time, the circular deviation of the missile from targets at a distance of more than 1,500 kilometers was no more than three meters.
