Over 4.5 thousand tactical exercises have been conducted in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation since December last year
Moscow. October 7. INTERFAX - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the plans for combat training of the Armed Forces for 2021 have been fully implemented.
"The combat training plans have been completed. Since December last year, more than four and a half thousand tactical exercises have been conducted, including interspecific and bilateral ones," Shoigu said on Thursday at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense, analyzing the implementation of the Armed Forces training plan in 2021 in terms of combat training issues.
Speaking about the results of the Russian-Belarusian strategic exercise "WEST-2021" held in September, the Minister noted that "in accordance with the instruction of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the accumulated experience and new, more effective ways of using troops are successfully used in combat training."
Shoigu also said that in April, as part of a control check, more than 5,000 basic training events, including more than 800 bilateral exercises, were held at 101 training grounds and 520 facilities of the training and material base.
He noted that at the Army International Games, the Russian national team "deservedly took first place."
The improvement of the educational and material base continues.
"The construction of 89 training facilities at 56 landfills is coming to an end, more than 1,200 units of landfill equipment have been delivered to the troops," Shoigu said.
